Insurance Endorsement
What Is an Insurance Endorsement?
A policy endorsement, otherwise known as a rider, is added to an insurance policy at your request to modify your coverage.
How an Endorsement in Insurance Works
When an insurance policy is issued, any changes you need to make after the effective date will be done through an endorsement. For example, if you need to change your address, entity, name, or coverage, this request will be processed and “endorsed” to your policy.
These endorsements issued by the insurance company will become a part of your insurance policy.

When Is an Insurance Policy Endorsement Needed?
Anytime you need to modify your existing in-force insurance policy, you will do so through an endorsement.
How to Get an Endorsement on Your Insurance Policy
Some policy changes can be made through your customer portal, while others require contacting one of FLIP’s customer service representatives. Once the insurance company receives and approves the policy change request, an endorsement reflecting the policy change will be issued to you.
